Premier Art Show

VENUE MOVED ---See New Post I'm excited to exhibit in this new gallery on the Second Floor of Moon Bay. This is my FIRST solo exhibition outside of my own gallery and it is a major milestone. I hope people will come and party with me to celebrate this event in my Second Life as an artist. I'm exhibiting my latest series (as of this date) called "I Love You". Its the best work that I have done so far in my opinion and suggests a shift in exploring this medium--the method called Primagery that I find myself completely absorbed in day in and day out.

Pick of the Week

SLART® website Magazine picked THE GALLERY OF THE MINOTAUR!
I am pleased to announce a little good fortune for my new gallery and studio. Being named the Pick of the Week hopefully will bring in some curious art lovers out there that haven't previously seen my work.
Since leaving the Dark Side of the Moon, its been an enormous challenge to start over. Sachi continues to create beautiful work in her gallery and excels at everything she does. I owe a great deal to our past partnership both creatively and motivationally. Our discovery of Primagery took us on a journey of exploration that was stimulating and rewarding. We both are going our separate ways but we have a bond that cannot be broken. I don't know if she feels the same way but in the spirit of lasting friendship, I hope we can continue to admire each other's work and appreciate our individual success.

Hope to see you at the Grand Opening of my gallery in Second Life.
Featuring three new series and a selection of previous work from last month.
I set out a prim grouping from one of my new series called "Mescaline". If you haven't ever seen a prim sculpture that is the basis for the 2D work, now you have an opportunity. They aren't always particularly beautiful to look at, as you shall see.
See you There!

Coming Soon!

The Minotaur was confined to a dark and magical labyrinth. In the myth, the magical powers of nature collide with humanity in a balance between light and dark. He was half bull and half man, struggling to maintain his existence in both worlds.
I strive to explore light and dark and bring magic to color and shapes within the boundaries of the labyrinth of Second Life. Primagery does not exist beyond the maze. In the center of the maze, I find light and purpose, strength and opportunity, unburdened by Real Life.
The gallery will open soon with a new exhibit of my "Imagine" series. I attempted to create a variety of images that evoke a sense of beauty and wonder. I hope you will find them fascinating and worth a visit.

Sachi kicked me out of our gallery and so I'm in search of a place to display my work. I wish her the best. I know she will run a successful business and have some exciting shows. Not nearly as exciting without me though...LOL! Contact me if you want to talk about displaying my work or if you are interested in some unique pieces for your home or business.

Primagery is a word I coined for something Sachi and I pioneered in Second Life as a means to create 2D art purely in Second Life. Its the closest thing to making paintings in SL as we can get. We build one or more prims and then apply textures to them--exploring volume, transparency, and luminosity-- and then capture it with a snapshot. Uploading the snapshot in its pure form (unaltered) we then have a 2D image which we lay down on a "canvas". Sachi Nozaki (SL name) --Her work is amazing and beautiful. Please come and see what is possible in Second Life in the world of art. Visit our private gallery "The Dark Side of the Moon".
You may be stunned at the experience. Join our Group too! Become an appreciator of Primagery! Hope to See you! Sledge Roffo
